1. Preparation
• Park the machine on level ground: Lower the attachment to the ground, engage the parking brake, and shut down the engine.
• Warm up the engine oil: Run the engine at idle for a few minutes to warm the oil and allow contaminants to suspend in the oil. Do not drain oil when it is too hot to handle.• Prepare the required tools and materials: New engine oil of the correct specification, a matching oil filter, drain pan, wrench set, oil filter wrench, and clean cloths.
2. Drain the Used Engine Oil
Locate the engine oil drain plug: Find the drain plug on the engine oil pan. Make sure it is not confused with the hydraulic oil tank or hydraulic system components.
Position the drain pan correctly: Place the drain pan underneath, loosen the drain plug, and allow the used oil to drain completely.
Inspect and reinstall the drain plug: Check the drain plug gasket and replace it if worn or damaged. Clean the threads and tighten the plug securely by normal hand force. Do not use an extended handle or excessive force.
3. Replace the Oil Filter
Remove the old oil filter: Locate the engine oil filter and use an oil filter wrench to remove the old filter.
Clean the filter mounting surface: Wipe the oil filter base and sealing surface to remove dirt and old oil residue.
Install the new oil filter: Apply a thin layer of fresh engine oil to the rubber gasket of the new filter. Tighten it by hand until it seats properly, then tighten an additional 1/2 to 1 full turn. Do not overtighten with a wrench.
Handle the old filter properly: Avoid spilling residual oil from the used filter. Keep the opening facing upward when removing and disposing of it.
4. Add New Engine Oil
Refill with new engine oil slowly: Pour new oil through the engine oil filler cap in two or three stages. Do not fill the engine completely in one step.
Check the oil level regularly: After each refill, wipe and check the dipstick. Add oil until the level reaches the middle area between the upper and lower marks. Never exceed the maximum oil level.
Secure the oil filler cap: Reinstall and tighten the filler cap after completing the refill process.
