
Park on Level Ground: Park the machine on a firm, level surface. Lower the lift arms completely, tilt the quick-attach plate forward, shut down the engine, and engage the parking brake.
Depressurize the Hydraulic System: With the engine off, actuate the hydraulic control levers several times (or use the machine’s standard pressure-relief procedure) to release residual pressure in the auxiliary lines. This prevents high-pressure fluid injection when connecting or disconnecting couplers.
Verify Compatibility: Confirm that the attachment's mounting plate interface, pins, and hydraulic flow requirements (Standard Flow vs. High Flow) match the loader's specifications. Remove dust caps and thoroughly clean any debris from the quick-disconnect couplers.
Align the Interface: Slowly drive the loader forward to approach the attachment. Position the top edge of the loader's quick-attach plate under the upper flange of the attachment mounting plate. Slightly raise and tilt back the lift arms to properly seat the alignment pins.
Engage the Locking Mechanism:
Hydraulic / Power Quick-Attach: Operate the locking switch from inside the cab to engage the wedges or extend the locking pins. Verify you hear a positive click or see the locking indicator light illuminate.
Manual Quick-Attach: Exit the cab and manually push the locking levers down to extend the pins. Ensure they are fully engaged and secure them with lynchpins or cotter pins to prevent accidental disengagement during operation.
Initial Security Check: Raise the lift arms slightly to lift the attachment 4 to 8 inches (10–20 cm) off the ground. Gently tilt and shake the attachment to ensure there is no play, looseness, or abnormal noise.
Clean and Connect: Ensure both male and female quick-disconnect couplers are perfectly clean. Align the attachment hoses with the loader’s auxiliary couplers and push firmly until they snap into place. Pull back lightly on the hoses to verify a secure lock. Connect the electrical harness (e.g., for solenoid controls) only after confirming the hydraulic connection is leak-free.
Hose Routing and Management: Route the hydraulic hoses properly through the lift arm guides or retainers. Ensure there is enough slack for full range of motion without pinching, twisting, or exposing the hoses to abrasive wear during operation.
Ground-Clearance Test: Start the engine, lift the attachment 4 to 8 inches (10–20 cm) off the ground, and operate the tilt and lift functions. Observe the interface to ensure the connection remains completely stable and that hydraulic movements are smooth and responsive.
Secondary Verification: Shut down the engine, exit the cab, and perform a walk-around inspection. Visually confirm that the locking pins have fully penetrated the slots on the attachment plate and check all hydraulic fittings for leaks. Once verified, the machine is ready for operation.
