Maintenance of the Excavator Undercarriage Travel System

Clean the tracks, track rollers, carrier rollers, and drive sprockets after each workday to remove mud and debris that may cause jamming or accelerated wear.

Regularly check and adjust track tension to prevent track derailment and uneven wear.

Lubricate track rollers, carrier rollers, and the track tension cylinder according to the maintenance schedule to ensure proper sealing and lubrication.

Inspect travel motor hoses, fittings, and the final drive gearbox for leaks, abnormal noise, or overheating.

Avoid prolonged single-side travel and sharp pivot turns, which can accelerate wear on tracks and drive sprockets.

Prevent operating with one side suspended or under uneven heavy loads to protect the machine frame and undercarriage components.

Periodically inspect track shoes, track links, pins, and bushings for wear, and replace worn components promptly.

Change the gear oil in the final drive according to the recommended service interval to prevent contamination, deterioration, and gear damage.

After working in rain, snow, saline environments, or muddy conditions, wash the undercarriage thoroughly to prevent corrosion and rust.

For long-term storage, raise the tracks off the ground to reduce load deformation and extend the service life of the undercarriage.
