Skid Steer Loader Maintenance Guide

1. Daily Maintenance (5 Minutes Before Start-Up / After Shutdown)

Walk-Around Inspection

• Check for any oil, coolant, or air leaks

• Inspect tires or tracks for damage, bulging, or embedded debris

Fluid Level Check

• Engine oil

• Hydraulic oil

• Coolant

• Diesel fuel

Greasing (Critical)

• Lubricate all pivot points, including:

• Lift arm pins

  Tilt cylinder pins

• Frame articulation points

• Quick coupler

Apply grease at least once per day. Pump until a small amount of old grease is purged.

Cleaning

• Remove dust and debris from the radiator and air filter surface

Function Check

• Run the machine briefly

• Listen for abnormal noise

• Ensure all movements are smooth and responsive

2. Every 250 Hours (Approx. Monthly)

• Replace engine oil and oil filter

• Replace fuel filter

• Inspect and retighten critical bolts (wheels, frame, lift arms)

• Check track tension (for tracked models)

• Clean the hydraulic tank breather

3. Every 500 Hours (Approx. Every 2 Months)

• Replace hydraulic oil filter

• Check and top up hydraulic oil

• Inspect battery terminals and electrolyte level

• Check braking system and foot control valve

• Clean or replace cabin air filter (if equipped)

4. Every 1,000 Hours (Approx. Every 6 Months)

• Replace coolant

• Inspect hydraulic hoses for aging, cracks, or wear

• Check travel motors and final drives for leaks

• Inspect all pins and bushings; replace if excessive play is found

• Check wear on chains or rubber tracks

5. Every 2,000 Hours (Approx. Annually)

• Replace hydraulic oil (complete system change)

• Check and adjust engine valve clearance (if applicable)

• Inspect radiator and cooling system for scale buildup

• Inspect wiring harnesses and electrical connectors
